RF lens adapter for EF-mount camera?

Hi,

I know it normally works the other way, but my other half bought me a Canon RF-S 55-210mm f/5-7.1 IS STM for my camera. Because he works away he had it delivered to a friends house who gave it to me on my birthday. (what he planned). Unfortunate;y the lense in an Rf type and I have an EF type camera. He cannot return the lense as it is past the date for returns so I was wondering if anyone knows of an adapter ring for this situation. I have seen many for EF lenses to fit EOS R cameras. If there is such a thing perhaps someone would be kind enough to post a link.

Thank you in advance.

Ali

Unfortunately there is no adapter for that purpose.

You could look into selling the RF lens and purchasing the EF-S equivalent.

Keh or MPB are two websites that offer buy/sell services.

You are assuming the camera is EF-s.

Of course, the best way for the boyfriend to rectify the mistake is to by you an RF mount camera!

I tend to agree. If you sell it to "Keh or MPB ...." you will take a huge beating in money. In my experience dealing with them (I have sold a lot, a whole lot, of used lenses) expect perhaps half since it is brand new so to speak.

You can try ebay but it is not free to sell. You could try Facebook Marketplace but be super careful how you handle the sale. The new R series camera is the best go. 😁
