I'm trying to connect my old PowerShot G5 to my new computer.
My new computer has USB 3 and USB 4 ports.
But my original camera interface cable is Camera to to the older larger USB ports. Is there a cable that is Camera to USB 4?

danhan,
The cameras USB is what determines the communication standard. The ports on your new computer will be backwards compatible. Does the new system not have an older USB port?
If not, something like this would work.
Note however it won't be faster.

Or you can get an USB-C to USB-A adapter like Apple's MW5L3AM. And use your old cable.

Greetings danhan,
I'm sorry to inform you that the PowerShot G5 is a camera which no longer receives support due to the age of the camera. For further assistance with troubleshooting your camera or software for the camera, please visit the product support page for this model:
You may check to see if there is a USB adapter that will convert the between the end of your USB cable to the connection used on your computer.

Thanks Rick. No the new computer only has USB 3 and 4 ports, the small ones. Thanks for the cable suggestion, it looks like it'll work.

That's actually a better idea because it keeps the doodad that came with the original cable.

Great idea! Thanks.

You said your computer has a USB-3 port. This would be a wide rectangular port (the "older, larger" type) that takes the same cable as your previous computers.

Ports and cables are totally confusing to me, but here are the ports on the 24" iMac:

I think the Apple adapter can use either port, but if not, use the USB one.
