Is there an extender or teleconverter that will work with a Canon EF 75-300 1:4-56 zoom lens?

Nothing you would be happy with. You would need a third party model like Kenko. You would lose autofocus capability. That zoom isn’t the best image quality to begin with; the extender will degrade it more.

Canon teleconverters are not designed to support that lens.

Best to save your money and get one of the Sigma/Tamron 150-600 zooms. As I have said before, the two happiest days in a photographers life are the day he gets his teleconverter and the day he stops using it.
