I have a Canon EOS Rebel T3. Had the original battery in it from when I bought it. Started noticing the battery wouldn't hold a charge. Figured the battery is over 10 years old, so I replaced with a new battery, not a Canon battery. Well, these batteries also will not hold a charge. Maybe for a couple days & it's hardly being used. I'd like to think that it could be the 'generic' batteries?? Or is it something with the camera? Just coincidence that I have the same issue with new & old batteries??

One problem with buying batteries for older cameras is that you can’t always tell how long they might have been sitting on a shelf before it gets sold.
