Anyone considering a product, any brand or type needs to do enough research first to make sure that it meets their needs. If something doesn't fit your hands consider another model. R1, R3...
If power is concern buy a body that has a battery grip available. This isn't something new, Canon has been releasing products this way for decades. Its simple. Any surprise or disappointment is due to lack of research. Period.
