EOS R6 Canon Battery Manufacture Date?

Hi,

I just got a Canon R6 and I was curious of the manufacture date of the battery. It's an LP-E6NH with a few numbers on it such as 3-30-2 and 2022119A. I believe the second number could be the manufacture date but I'm not sure.

In looking at the back of my LP-E6N batteries, there's a silver rectangle with a stamped/recessed date in the form YYYY MM (e.g. 2017 06).  To the left is "製造日期/刈 起" which does translate to "Date of manufacture".

The stamped date panel is not present on the LP-E6NH batteries, but is on the LP-E6N and LP-E6 batteries I have.

What difference does it make when it was made?  An LP-E6NH is a late-model battery, and being a lithium battery it doesn't go bad from age.

That's not true. While it is typically a low percentage of overall capacity, lithium batteries do degrade if just sitting unused.
