The well-known and reliable rumor site is stating that the Canon EF-EOS R mount adapters will be going up $50 in price, possibly the first week of July. That is a 50% increase for the basic adapter. I just checked a couple of sites, and the basic adapter is still $99.99 as of 7/3/23. The control ring version will go up to $199. Now is the time to buy.

I just looked through my records, and for the control ring version I paid $232 direct from Canon USA after shipping and tax. It listed for $199.99. This was 3/2/2021. IIRC, I paid way north of $100 for the plain one on 9/8/2021 and it seems like $149.99, but I can't find the receipt for it (I have it somewhere).
I was pretty PO'd when the price dropped, LOL! I only used them for a few months then switched out to RF glass.
So it seems that Canon may go back to their original pricing. I suspect they dropped the price to get more folks with EF glass to buy into the R system, so now they are going back to that original price IF this rumor is correct, but it would make sense... To me anyway 🙂
