ZR950 "DV-IN" flashing and no connection

Hey all, I have been using a ZR950 for ingesting tapes for years. I picked up a second one but it wont connect to PC via DV/Firewire cable. I noticed on the good one that I get a solid DV-IN when connected, but the bad one has a flashing DV-IN message. Any ideas?

It could be a bad FireWire port on the camcorder.  Can you contact the seller to see if they had experienced the same problem?  Short of testing it on another computer I don't know what to tell you what to do.
