ZR 200 Digital Camcorder. Error message: Wrong format when playing back tape. Cant find a solution for this issue anywhere.

Hi FMortl,

We're sorry to hear that your ZR200 camcorder says that the tape is the wrong format.  If this tape was recorded with a different camcorder then it may not display back properly.  Ensure that you are using tapes that are in the miniDV format.  You can also use a dry head tape cleaner in the camcorder to clean the heads.  This may alleviate the error message that you see on the camcorder.  Be sure to follow the instructions on the tape cleaner for best results.
