What steps are you taking to connect the HF R62 to the computer? I would assume, though maybe incorrectly, through a USB cable. Were the clips recorded on internal storage or on an SD card? When the HF R62 is connected to the computer does it show up in File Explorer as an external storage device?

Try this, camera on and plugged in with usb cable, then hit the play button, the one under the on/off button on the body of camera. On the main screen under battery level, your camera has to be setup on mp4 to down load mp4 movies and pictures using CameraWindow software or setup on Avchd to download avchd movies using the Transfer Utility LE software. It doesn't matter where the movies or pictures are saved, internal memory or sd card, just what format(mp4, Avchd) the camera is set to at time of downloading to computer.
