We have a VIXIA HF R200 and every time we try to use the telescopic lens the image just blurs.

We have a VIXIA HF R200 and every time we try to use the telescopic lens the image just blurs.  We specifically chose this camera so we could take close up scenes.  What are we doing wrong?    Frustrated2
