Our Vixia HF G20 charging indicator flashes rapidly anytime we try to charge a battery. We bought a new BP-820 battery and a CA-570 power adapter from Canon and get the same result. The camera is clean and perfectly cared for, only used indoors, on a tripod, in an office environment to record legal proceedings. Due to the length of the recordings, we cannot record on battery power alone. We record with the power adapter plugged in and the battery in as a backup in the event that something prevents it from getting power from the adapter.
As of right now, we have 3 dead batteries and a camera that will only work off the power adapter. We cannot rely solely on the power adapter. We need to record in a few days, what do we do? Is there a way to get the camera to charge the battery like it should be?
