SD Card error

What could possibly be wrong if I am constantly receiving a card error message? This  happens to every card I insert in the machine. Because of this I am unable to do any recording. Please help me resolve this issue.

Please format the memory card before using in the camera. There is another possiblity of you are not abe to place memory card in the right corner. Please recheck whether you are able to place it right in the camera.
