Capture/editing on ZR85

Hi:

My issue is setting up my ZR85 (newly acquired) to send video to my Toshiba laptop (windows 10). I have downloaded 7 programs and not a one will recognize the 85. I have hooked up the A/V to HDMI port through a converter. Also have hooked up the camera USB port to computer USB port with zero results. I have an old  ZR40 and ZR80 that I used on a desktop (win XP) successfully. Desk top is gone. Any help appreciated.

You probably need a firewire port for the computer.

Toshiba has only USB and hdmi ports.

Then you might be out of luck. (And that HDMI is probably output-only.) You might be able to get a USB-C to Firewire or a NTSC video capture card.

If you had a Mac, There is a Thunderbolt solution.
