My 1.5 year old Mx472 developed a black line down the middle of the page while scanning. What now?

I was scanning some old documents into my machine and I found that when I use the feeder, the scan has a black line down the middle. If I put the document onto the glass directly, there is no black line. How does one get rid of this black line?
