My Pixma MG 5250 is no longer letting me scan. I updated to Windows 10 last week .Any ideas?

My printer is old, but worked brilliantly until last week when I updated to Windows 10, now it won't scan.I'd be grateful for any suggestions on how I can remedy this. I've looked at self help but it doesn't acknowledge that my printer exists!
