Can I print vehicle wraps with a Canon Imagegraf IPF8100?

Just bought an IPF printer for wraps but am thinking I made a mistake.Can someone answer my question and hopefully prove me wrong.

I read somewhere that the ink for the IPF8100 will not withstand the outdoors.Is that true?Or does it depend on material printed on?
