Pixma mx922 Issues

Im looking for a solution for my mx922. Its printing very light. Is there a way to adjust the color? No matter how dark the picture is the printout is very light. It is also very slow to start printing. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The laptop is running windows 7. The result is the same with wireless or usb.
