I have a Canon PowerShot A470 and every time I take a pictureit comes out white with the flash off

Can anyone help me my pictures are coming out all white even with the flash turned off. Does anyone know what it's doing that?

I already did a reset on it. Sometimes the pic looks like it has blurry lines coming through it. When I put it on night mode it works ok. But taking a normal pic under auto it doesn't work. I'll check it again. Thank you!
