why wont my MX922 printer print pdf Adobe files?

can't seem to get wireless MX922 printer to print pdf files from Adobe Reader. Get message indicating possible error on pdf file.

the printer is shared with one other computer, my laptop runs MS8.1, my wife's MS7.0. nev er had this problem until recently.
