Canon shop replaced my 70D shutter 3 years ago and the camera is still going strong. I use it almost every day.  Repair solved the issue. 

I had mine fixed at a local camera shop (Tempe Camera) for about $250 but that was over 2 years ago. They had it for about a week and replaced the shutter. I suspect the price probably has gone up. My camera is still going strong with the new shutter...

It's been fixed. Replaced shutter. Little over $300 for fix and clean. Back in business again. 

I figured it would be about that much. I'm still waiting for a quote. Missing my camera.
