I went to Canon support. and they talked me thru a process that totally resolved a perplexing g problem with Canon compatibility and my new hp laptop. I highly recommend their capable and patient attention to fully resolve my issue.

My printer doesn't have USB cablea The small telephone-type cables connect my printer to a modem ns my telephone base station.
