all I want to do is scan on my new canon mg3550. Why is it so complicated. Where do I begin.

where do i begin. Just can't see any button to press to scan. Or any programme to give me a starting point. I downloaded everthing from my installation disk when setting up my printer. The online manual tells me nothing. Please help!! Why oh why ...
