But I like this printer! It works great on my Win7 machine. I'd hate to throw it away just because Canon couldn't make a driver update since December 2012 (when the PDF that says I need to restart my computer every time I want to scan was generated)....
I called again and got the same walkthrough and puzzlement. "It should work" appears to be Canon's diagnosis. It does...just not with the driver Canon made for WIA on Windows 8.1!
Hey James I spoke to them. They said that WIA is not working correctly. Except it is, because I can scan. But only once. Because there is a driver problem. I hope this helps you get this in front of the developers! Matt
