My camera is out of warranty plus there seems ot be no way to file a bug/ticket for Canon software.I used the Canon USA forum as it has a much larger user base.
Not the reply I was looking for but thanks anyway. Posting here I am hoping Canon will notice and take action to correct the problems. There is no way I know of on how to submit software bugs or get Canon support for their software products.
