PIXMA Print Plan: Return Empty Cartridge?

Do empty print cartridges have to be returned under the Pixna Print Plan, or do I just dispose of them? Thanks John Bowen

My Canon Pixma printer gives an error message everytime it prints though it still works so far.  The display also says it will disable printing soon if this is not corrected but the status is Online.
