It was brand new. Bought from local Walmart store, with a 2 year warranty by Allstate. I think it was $25 because the printer is no longer manufactured.

it was brand new. THANKS FOR TELLING ME I WAS TAKEN.! I bought a protection plan (1 yr) and was told to contact CANON. But apparently Canon doesn't care about their customers. Trust I will never buy another Canon product.
