After much research it appears that my PIXM MG2920 is so old that it is no longer compatible with the latest software and will not communicate with my new MacBook Air without the latest software.Bummer. Guess I need a new printer.......

I have the exact same problem. I just bought new ink cartridges.What was the solution?
