Update: Did get the solution to work on one of the two devices with the issue, additional step needed on the one that did work was to exit the Canon COT software first. Thanks again!
Thanks for the tip, it seems like it may have brought me closer, but still having issues. Using the DR-C125 scanner on a new PC that was preloaded with Windows 11 24H2, so rollback is not an option. The device manager did not recognize the scanner ...
