Now I know that vlc with the proper vlc-codecs from packman, or Mplayer on Linux work well with the 10-bit hevc encoded mp4-files from canon

In Linux same issue with vlc, but strangely and importantly google-photo accepts the clip and plays it after processing. I verified that original clip has 10 bit hevc encoding with: "mediainfo 5D0A1791.MP4" in Linux terminalThe clip is here: https://...
