Grazie, the SX50 is not a DSLR, and I believe the issue is focusing, period, not auto-focusing.Canon makes extraordinary cameras. The SX50 does not seem to be one of them.
If you do a search on the web, you'll see that this seems to be a sadly common issue with the SX50. Such a HUGE disappointment. If you post your pics on a flickr account, for example, the requested Exif data (speed, aperture, ISO, camera, lens, etc) ...
