I think I found the solution and it is printer related, nothing to do with the OS, etc. (Rick - Are you an admin for these boards? If not, thanks for the suggestion on the static IP but no thanks on how to post.)On the printer itself: Menu-> Network ...
I just got the same printer yesterday. When it goes to Sleep, I have to manually push the button to have it wake. But, I did go to the Canon site to download the drivers. It works now but wow does it take a long time to wake up not doing so manually....
