I found this at the bottom of a bunch of photo gear. Obviously Canon, but there are no identifying marks. I dont have a lens missing a foot. Can anyone identify this?

Super--it worked for the firmware update! Never thought that the touch screen sometimes isn't! Thanks so much for your quick reply! I didn't get the error again with calibration, so perhaps the firmware upgrade solved it. Thanks again!

Slight resistance when turning either way and no change in resistance even when turning the ring 3-5x around.

When I turn the focus ring when the lens is off the camera, nothing happens in the focus window.

Yes, whether in MF or AF, and with or without IS on.
