How do I reduce the pixel size in a Cannon PowerShot SX 620 HS?

Thanks for the reply. I'm not very technical and have gone through the user manual. I have the settings on "S" so there can be 9999 photos, and it's on Auto. Is that the setting to produce the fewest pixels?
