The problem seems distinct from the previous issue. I was previous able to see the video stream in the webcam utility. Now I just get the black EOS screen. On the other hand, the camera is still selectable when I open meet. Insanely frustrating. Ever...
This fix is no longer working after updating to Sonoma 14.2. I now just get the black "EOS WEBCAM UTILITY" screen. I no longer get a picture at all when I open the EOS Webcam Utility. Everything is still working fine on my Windows box.
You have to unlock the drive first. Type: diskutil apfs unlockVolume /dev/[volume] (replace [volume] with the name of the actual encrypted volume)You'll see the volume name when you get the message that the drive is encrypted.
