Canon powershot elph 180 can't focus while recording movies

I'm a content creator and I'm trying to record videos. My camera lately after 20 seconds without even touching it it gets out of focus and I have to restart the camera and this happens every time. Should I throw it out and buy a new one?

Happened to me today. Mine also has the autofocus defect with the serial number
