I can easily get it into service mode (blinking power light), but I can't obtain a counter reset. It goes into a weird nonresponsive state with the power light steady if I press the stop button 5 times and then the power button while in service mode....
Same here. From what I can tell, the "hit Stop 5 times" cure for the G3000 does not work with the G3200. Canon really owes it to us, as paying customers, to provide whatever unlocking software we need to get operating again.
Not true -- a reasonably competent home user can remove two or three of the pads. You can replace them with any similar material (I actually purchased spares on an Asian eBay member). The big trick is to reset the ink counter to make the printer usab...
