Unfortunately, I've got the printer plugged directly to my computer as well. I'm not trying to connect through the network. I've still been getting the Cpnnect the Computer message, even with the cord. Will update if I have luck later today

Im having this issue now, as well. Did anyone ever figure out why its happening? Irritating when trying to do payroll.
