So the high resolution paper work around works, but does that mean it uses the BK ink and not the PGBK ink?

I have this exact same issue on PGBK lines only. Wasted time on cleaning and re-aligning the heads. Glad I found this thread, so sound like a new print head is needed. This will be the third Canon I'll toss. Epson not so much better b/c I tossed ...
