Makes me glad I purchased it from Costco...Hopefully it will be fixed during the 90 days I have to return it. I rarely use video on cameras anyway. I still like using my camcorder better.
Fair enough...All I am really saying is that it could have taken alot longer than it has for Canon to acknowledge the issue. Sounds like they do need help for sure on the service side of things.

The Nikon you bought (P330) is a different kind of camera than the SX280. It's like comparing apples and oranges. Issues with new cameras occurs regularly. The Nikon D600 oil on sensor is an example for Nikon.
If you do not plan on using the video functionality, is there an issue with the battery life? It sounds like the issue relates to using the camera for video only.
