TS8350 - Closing Output Tray

I have a TS8350 printer. Is it possible to close the paper output tray manually and not have to switch off the printer? Many thanks.
TS5050 M/F printer noisy

My 2-years-old TS5050 makes a grinding noise when printing. Is there anything I can try or should I just live with it until it stops working? Any advice appreciated.
