Many thanks for this update. It's a really useful information that I hope Google will index and other Canon users will find in case of troubles. And even maybe DPP coders will read and fix this 

Thank you for the info. But I'm afraid that I'm not ready to re-format and forget about case sensitivity only for DPP. But could you please write a couple of words here if you will do this?

Now I have macOS 10.14.x and tried different versions of DPP with the same negative result. I also have case sensitive file system.

Hello, William After updating DPP to 4.10 it refuses to run with the same diagnostics. Unfortunately... Probably, I will try to upgrade macOS to Mojave and see what happens. Thank you
