is the 430EXII able to be radio controlled by the 600EX-RT?

Hello all,

Is the 430EXII able to be controlled wirelessly by the 600EX-RT? If not, what are some options to make this pair work? I know the 430EXII is radio enabled as a slave and not a master. I have seen articles saying the 430EXII will no longer work with the radio system in the 600EX-RT; is this true?

I am new at the radio controlled flashes, any and all help is appreciated.

I am now able to control the 430EXII optically. Looking at it now, is the 430EXII radio capable or is it an optical communication only?

The 430EXII is optical only.  The 600EX-RT is the only Canon flash that has radio capability.
