I am using a Speedlite transmitter on my 5d Mark IV, attached to the hot shoe. I have a 600EX-RT set up as slave A. It is communicating perfectly and works using ETTL. I have the 430EX ii set up on the same channel as slave B and it is not communicating with the transmitter. Will the 430 work in this setup, or is it a no-go? Quick note, This is NOT the set up with the wireless boot transmitters attached to the foot of the flashes. Just the wireless transmitter communicating to the flashes.

Are you using the Canon transmitter if so which one or 3rd party items.

Are you using a radio transmitter or an optical transmitter? What is the make and model of the transmitter?
The 430 EX II flash is optical only, so it doesn't work with radio flash communications.
