Common and least terns are nesting at Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve in Southern California and really putting on a show hunting for fish.  These fast flyers are hard to capture, but I managed to snap a few decent frames.

My complements on the great action shots of them in flight. Favorite is the dive with the splashing water. Care to share the camera settings? After all, one good tern deserves another.

For the tern emerging from the water: f/5.6, 1/4000, iso640, 400mm

For the one at the point of impact: f/5.6, 1/2500, iso250, 271mm (lots of sharpening and clarity in post)
