Crissy Field was very crowded, but coffee led me to this spot- unstoppable target at sundown in a clear weather (in my dream...)  would be a very good project. Colors would look fantastic. Back at you, Rick, you are way closer to the area!

Was in Frisco several years ago. 90s in Modesto, 90 miles away. 50s on the bay. Fog covered the bridge plus it was closed for maintenance so we didn't get to cross it.

yep, I feel you- that's the way for the bridge to keep the people safe; plus safeguards at the rails to keep tourist from falling, (or jumping).  yeah, one 4th of July, the whole family spent the whole day at the Aquatic Park (bleachers) next to the Maritime Park. So come show time for the fireworks and guess what? Fog rolled in and most if not, all fireworks display were obstructed!  Of course, no pictures. Lesson learned: watch the forecast.

Hi John,

If you were in Frisco several years ago, you must have been in Texas.  Because Frisco is a city in the U.S. state of Texas located in Collin and Denton counties.  It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and about 25 miles from Dallas Love Field and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.  Also, nobody really knows exactly where the word Frisco originated, some think that it might have got its start in the late 1800, potentially from some drunkard making contraction out of San Francisco.  To local San Franciscans, Frisco is a trashy name for a classy city.  Use Frisco  around S.F. locals and you will be met with a healthy dose of side-eye, a grimace or even with a slap on the wrist.  Frisco is the nickname we love to hate.  You're better of calling it "The City" and nobody will notice.  If you ask around why, you'll be told because it's disrespectful, truncated, ugly-sounding or icky (no disrespect for Frisco, Texas).  It is San Francisco or you can call it "The City", but never call San Francisco, Frisco.  We're  proud of our city!  😍

I ❤️ San Francisco      I ❤️ The City

😁

Hi atam1,

Nice shot of the bridge in the mist!  I was raised in the city and love every bit of it, but the Golden Gate Bridge is iconic.  I now live in the South Bay, about 45 minutes north of "The City" and still miss San Francisco, so I visit frequently.   If you have time you can also take some great shots of Chinatown, specially since it's Lunar New Year.

 😎

Cheers,
Joe
