To often we approach a subject, take a shot, and walk away. We need to learn to take a couple seconds or minutes more to work the scene. Take the time to line up the shot for a better composition or find a better angle.
These images are of the same tree taken seconds from each other. 2 different lenses were also used. The results are vastly different.

I take pictures of the same thing over and over with different cameras, digital and analog, different lenses, different films, different times of the day, and it's amazing how much character a thing can have when we take the time to examine it.

I agree with LeeP. With digital photography, one doesn't have to worry about using miles of film.
