Lovely composition and exposure.  I like the juxtaposition of the sharp elements of the tanks against the weathered, softened hills beyond.  While I fully your realize image is different in context and intent yet, in part, it reminds me of some of the work of Bernd and Hilla Becher (1931-2007 &  1934- ) who worked on a theme of German industrial art.

cheers, TREVOR

The mark of good photographer is less what they hold in their hand, it's more what they hold in their head;
"All the variety, all the charm, all the beauty of life is made up of light and shadow", Leo Tolstoy;
"Skill in photography is acquired by practice and not by purchase" Percy W. Harris

Thanks, Tronhard

I spotted these water tanks and several other structures before entering the Death Valley park.  I have also made fine art prints of these "relics" and exhibited them in my community photography group.  Thanks again for your observation and sending the link!
