Went hiking on Sunday 7-6-25 and was on the hunt for raptors when I came across this Red-tailed Hawk flying above. So, I followed it and watched it land on the highest branch of a very tall snag. Although, I was some distance away, I set my lens to 1120mm, focused and started shooting. I was there primarily to test my Double Back Button AF with Eye Controlled Focusing. WOW, I was so impressed! The learning curve was not as steep as I thought. Once I started focusing my thumb automatically found the tracking AF Back Button and started shooting. What a blast!
