Oslo, Norway - Opera House, Harbor, Holemenkollen (Da Jump) and Vigeland Park

Although we started in Bergen, Oslo was truly picturesque.

These are shots of the Opera House, Oslo Harbor, Holemenkollen and Vigeland Park

You have to see the ski jump in person to truly appreciate its marvel.  I visited twice to get shots from the upper and lower vantage points.  The art at Vigeland Park was something I won't soon forget.

Good selection of photos. Had a time on the one. Finally got the idea that it was a ski jump...without snow. Thanks for sharing these photos. Must have been an interesting trip.

Hello Rick,  Really excellent photo from Norway!  I wanted to share that I also visited Lillehammer and stood at the top of the ski jump.   I could not believe how steep it is.  Almost impossible to take an image that does it justice, but you did a great job.   While it was a short trip,  I really loved the entire country!

Hi Kevin,

Welcome to the community.  Norway was fabulous.  We visited Bergen, Eidfjord, Stavanger and Oslo.  I wanted to take a photo from the upper vantage point to convey the steepness of the grade.  Falling would not be good.  The stairs have teeth like a buzz saw.  While I was taking pictures, there was a family sitting with a toddler and they were letting her crawl around way beyond arms reach.  I was just cringing.  There was a lot of activity there.  My wife and parents did zip lining.  The Norwegian Olympic team was their training on ski skates.  Some ladies were having a bachelorette party.  Norway is a very clean and extremely prosperous.  A big part of their economy is oil.

Great shots Rick. They remind me of the trips I've made there over the years. I always found something special about the quality of the light in Oslo, both in summer and winter time.
